Krouna train accident

The Krouna train accident was a rail accident that happened on 24 June 1995 near Krouna, Pardubice Region, Czech Republic. It was the deadliest rail accident of the 1990s in the Czech Republic, and one of the worst rail disasters in Czech history.
== Temorary description ==
The cause of the accident was ridden out a freight cars from station Čachnov. Three fully loaded cars with scrap metal and timber on a gentle descent picked up speed to 100 km/h. Uncontrolled cars abreast collided on a single track 261 with oncoming railcar 810.061-2, which was completely demolished. At that time, engine drivers were not equipped with means of wireless communication, so there was no way to warn the crew and passengers in time. Most of passengers were young people travelling for dancing party; usually the train used to be almost vacant.
